Dashboard Cards
The top section of the dashboard is reserved for Metric Cards, where users can display the key performance indicators they want to monitor on that particular dashboard.
Types of Cards
- Metrics: These cards display the value of a metric calculated by the system for a specific period. By default, Metric Cards inherit the dashboard’s chosen period and filters. However, this can be overridden at the card level.
- Formulas: Formulas empower users to create custom metrics derived from other cards on the dashboard.
- Notes: These cards allow users to add textual information, insights, or context to the dashboard.

Specify the Period (Optional). By default, the card will inherit the period set for the entire dashboard. However, you can override this at the card level. If you choose to specify a different period, the card will disregard the dashboard’s period.
- Note: To revert to the dashboard’s date range, click the “Reset to Dashboard Date Range” button.
- Add Filters to the metric if needed. A metric can be filtered by various criteria (such as Client, Department, Project, etc.) to help narrow down and focus on the most relevant data.
- Set a Title. The card’s title is derived from the metric’s name by default. But you can customize it as needed.
- Click Add.
How to Copy a Metric Card
Instead of creating a Metric Card from scratch, you can copy an existing card. This way, you can quickly adjust the card to focus on the most relevant data.
